We extend a warm welcome to players of all skill levels and playing experience, ages 13 and up.
All you need is love of the game and a sincere desire to improve your baseball skills and gain a better working knowledge of baseball. Whether you now play in a league, coach youth baseball, want to get back into playing or just love the game, the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic is the place for you! Over 4 days, you will receive one-on-one instruction from some of today’s best Major League Coaches. It's a baseball experience unlike any other.
Many of our attendees compete in adult baseball leagues throughout the country (MSBL, NABA, Roy Hobbs, Ponce de Leon, etc.). There is a wide range of playing abilities and ages. Some guys haven't played baseball since little league or high school, but want to join an adult league and are looking to brush up on their fundamentals. Other attendees played college baseball way back when. Every year we get a few parents and youth coaches who attend to absorb and pass on as much baseball knowledge as possible. We even have a few high school and college baseball coaches who want to better their communication skills and gain more insight into the finer aspects of the game.
The next clinic is scheduled for December 7-10, 2023 at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC) in Vero Beach, FL. It will be our 22nd year in business, our 24th clinic (for a couple of years we held 2 clinics a year) and our 2nd year at JRTC.
Over the years, we have grown steadily, mostly by word of mouth. We do very little traditional advertising. We get an enormous amount of repeat players every year. Pro Ball has become much more than just 4 days of great baseball instruction. It's become a reunion of camaraderie, friendship and love of the game.
Over the past several years, attendees have started bringing their sons to the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic. Spending 4 days on the diamond with your son, while being taught by Major League coaches, is an amazing life experience. If you are a dad or a teenage player, please view the father-son video on the home page. We’d love to have you join us.
The bottom line is, there is no need to worry about “not being good enough” to join us at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic. Everyone is welcome. Don't be intimidated by the Major League coaching staff. You will be amazed at the patience of the coaches and their sincere desire to make you a better player. These gentlemen are some of the nicest, most dedicated and passionate guys you will ever meet. THESE GUYS LOVE TO TEACH BASEBALL! You have to experience the clinic for yourself to know what I am talking about.
We sell out every year and 2023 will be no exception.
Register NOW and get in your deposit to save your spot.
Our clinics are fashioned after actual Major League spring training routines, with rotating hitting stations, tee work, numerous hitting drills, live BP, situational BP and machine BP. You will probably take more swings in your 4 days at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic than you have in the past 4 years!
On defense, the coaches focus on individual and team defense drills. Pitchers will work one-on-one with Major League pitching coaches to improve mechanics, command, pitch grips and fielding (PFP). Catchers will do blocking, framing and agility drills, with our catching Instructors.
Under the guidance of our Major League coaching staff, you will leave the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic a better, more confident and more knowledgeable player.
If you have any questions, feel free to call Dr. John Rubinow at 323-333-8798

Yes. If you want to room with a certain player, let us know on the registration form. All efforts will be made to honor your request. In order to avoid confusion, please coordinate with your desired roommate prior to completing the form.
If you snore (you know who you are), please don't sign up for a double room. It isn't fair to your roommate.
If you snore, sign up for a single room. If single rooms are not available, you will be placed in a double by yourself, if a free double is available.
The Pro Ball Baseball Clinic is NOT a fantasy camp. We are a VERY different baseball experience from the typical fantasy camp. The main purpose of Pro Ball is to improve your baseball skills. Major League coaches teach you how earn to play the game the right way.
We do not provide uniforms. It is suggested that you bring two pairs of baseball pants, a jock and cup, a couple of baseball undershirts, at least one baseball shirt and a pair of spikes. In addition, bring sneakers or turf shoes for hitting in the indoor cages. No metal spikes in the hitting cages.
All your baseball-related laundry will be done on a daily basis. Bring as many gloves as you would like, depending on what positions you want to work on. Catchers should bring their own catching gear.
Bring your own bats and your own batting helmet if you have one. The JRTC does NOT provide batting helmets. The great majority of players swing wood, but metal is fine.
Due to the extraordinary nature of this clinic, the commitments made to the Major League Coaches and the spring training facility, YOUR INITIAL $1000 DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE. There are no exceptions.

If you are concerned about being unable to attend for any reason, it is strongly suggested you look into buying travel insurance. It is not known if travel insurance is available for this unique baseball event.
Absolutely not. In fact, we encourage you to try different positions and expand your knowledge of the game. You will get to play all the positions you want. At the clinic, you can experience playing every position on the diamond. Maybe you've never caught or pitched before. Here's your chance to learn from Major League coaches.
Please select your favorite 2 positions on the registration form. That will help us organize our Day 1 defensive rotations.
Please see home page for the typical daily schedule. We change schedules daily, depending on the # of players attending. The 1st day we usually hit from 9:30-12:30. We break an hour for lunch, then do throwing mechanics, individual and team defense. The latter part of the afternoon is situational games (sim games), live games or break into smaller groups for extra work. We stop at 5:00 pm
We prefer payment via the mobile banking app, Zelle. Most major banks and credit unions have Zelle as a transfer option (Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase). Transfer is easy. Just download the app to your mobile device and use nomarfan@pacbell.net to transfer funds directly from you bank account to Pro Ball.
We also take personal checks and cashier's checks.

I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic by phone or by email. Call my cell at 323-333-8798 or email me at nomarfan@pacbell.net.
Thank you for your interest in the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic.
Yes. The Pro Ball Baseball Clinic uses a state-of-the-art video system to record your hitting mechanics. Your video will be analyzed by one of the hitting coaches in a one-on-one session and emailed to you. You will have a great take-home piece of “baseball evidence” to watch again and again during the season. You may also bring a USB thumb drive to record your sessions. In 2022, we hope to video tape defense and pitching as well.
Personal videos may not be taken inside Pirate City (e.g., meeting rooms, clubhouse, trainers room, baseball fields, practice areas, hitting cages, pitching mounds, etc.). This policy will be strictly enforced.
The Pro Ball Baseball Clinic is a special 4-day experience with Major League Baseball Coaches. During meetings (including lunch and dinner), coaches may discuss topics which are considered “for clubhouse ears only." WHAT YOU SEE AND HEAR AT PRO BALL STAYS AT PRO BALL.
I have guaranteed our coaches the privacy and respect that is due them. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Any and all personal videos taken during the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic are considered property of Voice Doctor, Inc. and may not be uploaded to the Internet without express written consent of Voice Doctor, Inc or John Rubinow, M.D.
Yes. We have always had certified athletic trainers at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic. These gentlemen have extensive experience treating professional baseball players and their injuries. The 2023 clinic will be staffed with a least 2 certified trainers. In 2022, we had a former Toronto Blue Jays trainer and the current trainer for the AAA Dodgers affiliate.
You will be in great hands with our professional trainers. You will have a great time at Pro Ball, but you will also be taking a lot of swings, fielding a lot of ground balls, fly balls and doing drill work you may not be accustomed to. Do not be surprised if your body is sore after the first day or two.
Regarding COVID, JRTC goes by NY state law, as MLB offices are located in NYC. If MLB covid rules allow, participants will have access to ice tubs and possibly whirlpools. Professional training rooms will be available to all coaches and players. Whether it is a blister on your hand, a tight shoulder or nagging hamstring … use the trainers! They are there to get you back on the field so you can enjoy your time at Pro Ball to the fullest.
JACKIE ROBINSON TRAINING COMPLEX (JRTC)
3901 26th St.
Vero Beach, FL 32961
All players should arrive at the JRTC on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
We start bright and early on Dec 7, with a 7:30 morning meeting.
Regular check in time at JRTC starts at 3:00 pm on December 6th, 2023. If you need an earlier check in, please notify us at nomarfan@pacbell.net. JRTC has been gracious about allowing early check- ins but they will require a head count.
The JRTC has been kind enough to provide us with dinner on Wednesday night, December 6th. Unless otherwise noted, dinner will be served from 5:00-7:00 pm in the dining hall. We will need a head count on those who will be attending dinner that night, so food service can prepare.
The clubhouse will be open until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 6, to store your baseball gear.
Lockers will be alphabetized, with name plates above each locker.
If flying, there are 3 airport choices : Tampa International (TPA), West Palm Beach (PBI) and Orlando (MCO). TPA has more flights and prices may be cheaper but it's a long, dull drive (approx 146 miles, 2 1/2 hrs). PBI is 81 miles away, with a 1 hr 20 minute drive time and MCO is about 97 miles and a 1 hour, 40 minute drive to JRTC. There is also a very small airport in Vero Beach (VRB) - I do not know details about this airport.
Even though you won't need a car once you're at JRTC, taking an uber from whatever airport will probably be expensive. Getting a rental car and sharing it is advised. Once I have everyone's flight schedules, I'll group you together to share rides. PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE ITINERARIES.
Opening meeting starts promptly at 7:30 AM in the Jackie Robinson meeting room on Thursday, December 7, 2023. ALL PLAYERS need to be dressed in baseball attire for the 7:30 AM meeting. Leave your spikes and baseball gear in your locker.
Your hotel rooms are covered for 4 nights (December 6, 7,8,and 9).
We stop at 2:00 PM sharp on Sunday, December 10th, so players and coaches can grab flights home.
